With
the consent of the Department, Dr. Shrestha announced that “The grant will be
used for a research work targeted to use women labor force in Nepal to make the
traditional household work automated by introducing new laundry machine where
micro hydro electricity is available.”
A part of research grant is provided to final year undergraduate lady
mechanical engineering student of the department Ms. Rojina Bade who has been
able to secure the highest CGPA among lady student till now.
Department of Mechanical Engineering has a good relation with E&T Japan Co. Ltd. for last 7 years. Earlier also the company has provided the similar grant that was given as scholarship to two lady mechanical engineering students Ms. Shinza Upadyaya and Ms. Sneha Sefalika of the same department. Mr. Nagata, the president of E&T Japan Co. Ltd. expressed, “We should create a trend of sharing our knowledge among the people of all corners of the world. This will definitely prosper us.”
