Assoc. Prof. Miroslaw Swiercz, the Chair of Automatic Control and Electronics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Bialystok University of Technology, Poland, visited the Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), School of Engineering (SOE), Kathmandu University, Nepal, from November 06, 2017 to November 10, 2017 under Teaching Staff Mobility of ERASMUS+ Program.

During this visit of Assoc. Prof. Miroslaw Swiercz at Kathmandu University, he delivered some lectures on the topic “Fault Detection Using Artificial Intelligent”. The participants in the lectures were faculties of SOE and students (both graduate and undergraduate) of the Dept. of EEE.

In addition, Dr. Swiercz observed the annual event EEPEX-17 of the Dept. of EEE and interacted with the students about their different projects. He was very much impressed and expressed that the level of the projects were high.

In the mean time, Dr. Swiercz interacted with Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Registrar of Kathmandu University, Prof. Dr. Bhupendra Bimal Chhetri, Dean of School of Engineering, and Assoc. Prof. Brijesh Adhikary, Head of Dept. of EEE about academic and research activities of two institutions.

Bialystok University of Technology and Kathmandu University have already signed Cooperative Agreement in Rector/Vice Chancellor Level on 13^th October 2017.

Dr. Rabindra Bista, Asst. Prof. in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, coordinated the activities -Cooperative Agreement Signing and visit of Dr. Swiercz- on behalf of Kathmandu University.
