Double Degree BIT students Batch 2024 & 2025 visited Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) Nepal Office.
On January 9, 2026, the Double Degree BIT students of the 2024 and 2025 batches visited the Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) Nepal Office. The visit served as a follow-up meeting for the first cohort of the Double Degree BIT program, focusing on planning for Australian studies, counseling sessions, and reaffirmation by the CIHE directorate to ensure a smooth academic and administrative transition into the Australian higher education ecosystem. The visit for the second batch primarily focused on introducing the Crown Nepal office and familiarizing students with the Crown staff for counseling purposes.
During the session, Mr. Deepak Khadka, Founder Director of CIHE, shared his valuable experiences and insights regarding Australian degree programs. He highlighted the benefits of the Transnational Education (TNE) BIT program, particularly for students intending to pursue higher education in Australia after completing their first two years of study at Kathmandu University (KU). He also informed the students that the BIT degree has been accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), marking a significant milestone for the program.
The Head of the Department, Er. Pankaj Raj Dawadi, PhD, shared the philosophy and vision behind the Double Degree BIT initiative, acknowledging the contributions of previous KU leadership and reaffirming the department’s ongoing commitment to facilitating and supporting Double Degree students.
The program was facilitated by Mr. Prakash Sharma, Director of International Studies, on behalf of CIHE. An interactive session followed, during which students actively shared their thoughts, concerns, and queries with the CIHE representatives.
The program was further enriched by the presence of Ms. Lucky Sherpa, Former Ambassador of Nepal to Australia, who addressed the students and extended her best wishes for their academic and professional success. The program was also attended by Mr. Trailokya Ojha, CE Program Coordinator for DoCSE.
