DoHI participated at 4th National Telemedicine and 1st National Digital Health Conference,

The Department of Health Informatics, Kathmandu University, took part in the 4th National Telemedicine and 1st National Digital Health Conference, held in Kathmandu on 23–24 January 2026 organized by Telemedicine society of Nepal.

The department was represented by Mr. Santosh Khanal, Acting Head of the Department, and Mr. Dipesh Khadka, Lecturer, Department of Health Informatics. During the conference, the Acting Head of the Department delivered a presentation on “Building Nepal’s Digital Health Workforce: Skills, Capacity, and Training Gaps,” highlighting the Department’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Health Informatics, ongoing capacity-building initiatives, and future goals.

Students from both graduate and undergraduate programs actively participated in the event. Graduate students took part in the hackathon, while undergraduate students contributed as volunteers, gaining valuable exposure to national-level discussions and initiatives in telemedicine and digital health
