December 19-21, 2025, Computer Engineering undergraduate students (sixth semester) from Department of Computer Science and Engineering won Travel & Tourism Track in 48 hours hackathon organized by Madan Bhandari Memorial IdeaX, Anamnagar, Madan Bhandari Memorial College. As a reward the team won a cash prize of NRs. 10,000.

Students Hackathon Idea: A Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh–based communication system that operates independently of internet or cellular infrastructure, with a focus on evaluating multi-hop message reliability, scalability, and practical deployment challenges in disruption-prone environments such as disasters, remote areas, or network outages.

The students are now continuing their hackathon idea as an undergraduate semester project in the department. This project is supervised by Mr. Saugat Singh, Lecturer at DoCSE.
