Note: 10 seats are allocated for this cohort, and applicants will be placed in the course on a first-come-first-served basis.

A Brief overview of the course
This course offers a comprehensive overview of Korea’s transformation into a modern society, highlighting key historical, political, economic, and cultural developments from the post-war period to the present. Through topics such as Confucian heritage, rapid industrialization, democratization, Hallyu, digital innovation, and emerging social issues, students will gain critical insights into contemporary Korean society and culture. Designed to foster deeper academic engagement with Korea, the course equips students with analytical tools to explore Korea’s development experience in a comparative and interdisciplinary context.
