Announcement for Admission in Master of Pharmacy (MPharm)

Department of Pharmacy announces opening of admissions for two-year MPharm program in following specializations:

• Industrial Pharmacy
• Pharmaceutical Care 

Candidates with BPharm or equivalent degree with minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4 or 50% in aggregate marks are eligible to apply.

There are total 30 seats available in MPharm program, 15 in each specialization. In each group, 13 students will be selected exclusively on merit basis* and 2 are corporate seats.

From the received applications for the corporate seats, selection will be on merit basis. If corporate seat admissions are less than allotted, remaining will be fulfilled from the merit list.

*Marks obtained in BPharm, work experience, entrance exam and interview evaluations are considered.

Application form collection and submission: Form can be collected from Office of the Dean, School of Science from August 01, 2019 or can be downloaded.

Duly filled form along with the required documents, as mentioned below, should be submitted at Office of the Dean, School of Science by August 23, 2019.

Entrance exam will be held as follows; 

Date   : August 26, 2019
Time   : 10:00 – 11:00 am

Venue : Department of Pharmacy, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel

Result will be published at the university website on August 27, 2019.

Interview date: August 29, 2019 (further detail will be provided at the time of entrance exam result)

Multiple choice questions from following courses will be included in the entrance exam: 

Documents to be submitted with application form

• Self-attested photocopies of academic and character certificates from SLC onward
• Self-attested photocopy of citizenship or passport
• Two recommendations (preferably one from the academic supervisor and another from the present employer and in case of unemployed candidate, both can be from academic supervisors of institution of recent graduation)
• Work experience letter (if applicable)
• Three recent passport size photographs
• Self-attested photocopy of migration certificate (submission of original is required at the time of admission)
• Bank voucher of application processing fee payment
• Sponsorship letter (compulsory if applying for corporate seat)

NOTE: Document submitted after August 23, 2019 will not be accepted.
