Following the formal endorsement of Kathmandu University’s Gender Equality Plan (GEP) in March 2026, the University continues to strengthen its commitment to advancing gender equality in higher education.

As part of the Erasmus+ MAGENDA (Mainstreaming Gender Equality in Academia) project, representatives from partner universities in Nepal and Bangladesh participated in a study visit to Greece from April 26–30, 2026. The visit brought together Kathmandu University, Pokhara University, Far-Western University, and partner institutions from Bangladesh for collaborative learning and institutional exchange.

Representing Kathmandu University, Asst. Prof. Sabina Baniya Chhetri and Asst. Prof. Dr. Prity Atal participated in sessions hosted by the University of the Peloponnese and KMOP. Discussions focused on Gender Equality Plan implementation, inclusive academic cultures, monitoring and evaluation practices, and global perspectives on gender inclusion in higher education.

The study visit reflects the growing regional and international collaboration aimed at translating gender equality commitments into meaningful institutional practice.
