The Department of Health Informatics organized the 8th Subject Committee Meeting in Kathmandu. The session was chaired by Er. Santosh Khanal, Acting Head of the Department of Health Informatics.

Experts from industry, the Ministry of Health and Population, and academia, representing fields such as medical sciences, public health, and computer science, came together to discuss and provide valuable feedback on the proposed syllabus of the following subjects:

Health-Care Database System

Network and System Administration

Population Dynamics and Geographic Information Systems

Inferential Statistics

Anthropology

Health Informatics Project I

The meeting also had the participation of the Associate Dean from the School of Engineering and the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Kathmandu University as invited members.

Overall, the session provided a great platform for discussion and feedback, helping ensure that the curriculum stays practical, multidisciplinary, and aligned with the evolving needs of health and technology education in Nepal.
