Kathmandu University Business Incubation Center (KUBIC) organized a 3-Day Workshop on Entrepreneurship and Incubation during 1- 3 June, 2016 at C.V. Raman Mini Auditorium. The workshop was supported by the University Grants Commission.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Bhupendra Bimal Chhetri, Dean, School of Engineering. The program was moderated by Ms. Supriya Koirala, Asst. Manager, Business Incubation Center. Fifty participants, mainly staff/faculties from Science, Engineering, Management, and Graduate students of KU attended the workshop.
The second day of the program was on Business Development Process for startups. Mr. Arun Sharma (Visiting Faculty, KU), Mr. Brijesh Sharma (Senior Engineer, Nepal Telecom), Asst. Prof. Mr. Rojan Baniya (KUSOM) and Mr. Deepesh Vaidya (Managing Director, Kriti Capital) presented on Entrepreneurship: Opportunity Recognition, Business Model Canvas, Marketing and Finances for Small Business.
The third day of the program was on Technology transfer, Intellectual Property Right and Mentoring process which were facilitated by Ms. Rebecca Ordish (Visiting Faculty, KUSL) and Prof. Binod Krishna Shrestha (KUSOM). Panel Discussion was organized at the end of each session. Feedback and suggestion was collected from all participants for future programs.
