On 31 October 2017, the School of Engineering (SoE) held welcome and orientation of newly enrolled students of its different Masters programs. In the program students were briefed about the curricula, and given an overview of student life in KU and SoE. This year 10 students have been enrolled in ME in Structural Engineering, 9 in ME in Electrical Power Engineering and 6 in ME in Mechanical Engineering.

1 November 2017 Mr Richard L. Kauffman, Chairman of Energy and Finance for New York State, USA interacted with the students of Schools of Law and Engineering at Kathmandu University today on the changing scenario of energy development and their implications. On the occasion, Mr Robert Taylor, who is the Team Leader of USAID-funded Nepal Hydropower Development Project (NHDP) gave a presentation to the students on e
