Mr. Bijay Thapa, a scholar of PhD in Environmental Engineering successfully defended his PhD dissertation and research entitled "Pollutant Removal Kinetics in Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants" on 25th November 2020. He had done research under supervision of Dr. Nawa Raj Khatiwada, former Associate Professor at Department of Environmental Science and Engineering and President at Nepal Development Research Institute.

Mrs. Reeta Rai, Lecturer at Royal University of Bhutan (Bhutan), successfully defended her PhD dissertation and research entitled "Assessing Environmental Impacts of Vehicle Wash Wastewater: A Case Study of Two Towns of Bhutan " on 20th July 2020. She had done research under supervision of Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, a professor at Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, School of Science (KU).
