Biography




Dr. Umesh Rajopadhyaya is an Assistant Professor and the Acting Head of the Department of Management Science and Information of Kathmandu University School of Management. He holds a distinguished academic background, having earned his MSc in Mathematics from Tribhuvan University, followed by an M.Phil and PhD in Mathematics from Kathmandu University. His doctoral thesis, titled "Some Fixed Point Results in Semi-metric Space," reflects his deep expertise in the field of Non-linear Analysis.

Dr. Rajopadhyaya's contributions to academia have been recognized at the highest levels. He was honored with the prestigious Bidhya Bhusan KA sreni award by the Rt. Honorable President of Nepal and received a fellowship from the University Grants Commission, Nepal, to support his PhD studies.

With over two decades of teaching experience, Dr. Rajopadhyaya has been a dedicated faculty member for more than nine years at the university. His career also includes time as a visiting faculty at various colleges. Beyond his academic pursuits, he has a keen interest in writing articles on social and educational issues, regularly contributing to daily newspapers.




Honors and Awards

1. Received a fellowship from the University Grants Commission, Nepal, to support  PhD studies.

2.  Honored with the esteemed "Bidhya Bhusan KA Sreni" award by the Right Honorable President of Nepal.
