Biography

Dr Jyoti Regmi Adhikary has been associated with Kathmandu University since 2007. In 

addition to teaching, she is involved in research, training, and consulting activities in her area of expertise. She brings industry experience of a decade in diverse fields prior to her academic involvement of 17 years.

She was nominated as a Senate Member of Kathmandu University twice: from 2002 to 2003 as 

a student representative and from 2013 to 2016 as a faculty representative. She also served as a member of the Academic Council of Kathmandu University during 2020-21.

Her main research interest is women's leadership. She has authored and co-authored academic 

research articles published in both national and international journals. Additionally, she has contributed to the publication of a research-based book titled "Who is who of Nepali women" in funding partnership with the Norwegian Embassy in Nepal.

Dr. Adhikary holds degrees in Architecture (BArch) from Visvesvaraya National Institute of 

Technology, Nagpur, India, and MBA (HRM and Finance), MPhil (General Management), and PhD (General Management) from Kathmandu University, Nepal. She has completed the Faculty Development Program in Management (FDP) from IIM Ahmedabad, India.

● Nominated Senate Member of Kathmandu University representing all the faculty

● “Mahendra Vidhya Bhushan–Kha” award for top position in MBA-Executive in 

Kathmandu University in 2006

● Nominated Senate Member of Kathmandu University representing all the students of 

the university from 2002-2003

● Merit based Technical Cooperative Scheme of Colombo Plan Scholarship for studying 

undergraduate studies in VRCE (now VNIT), Nagpur University, India from 1987 to 1992
