View all programsHello! This is Indra Mani Shrestha from the eastern part of Nepal, currently working as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of STEAM Education since March 2019 and doing my PhD in STEAM Education (February 2022).
After doing B. Sc. with majors Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Tribhuvan University, I have been associated with Kathmandu University since 2007 through the journey of Master of Education (M. Ed.) in Mathematics Education and Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) in Mathematics Education. In the course of my educational journey, I began to work as a Visiting Faculty in 2015 at the University. Since then, I have been teaching various courses of M. Ed. in Mathematics Education, M. Ed. in STEAM Education and PGDE in Mathematics Education - Curricula in Mathematics Education, Curricula in STEAM Education, Teaching and Learning in Mathematics Education, Research Methodology, Recent Paradigms of Mathematics Learning, Practicum and Educational Philosophies. Besides, I have been supervising master's dissertations and research projects I and II and co-supervising MPhil dissertations. More so, I am also involved in coordinating master's programmes, STEAM workshops, and conducting workshops and training for teachers from institutional and community schools. I have, of course, presented many papers at national and international conferences and have published various papers.

My research interest is towards (critical) curriculum, pedagogy, assessment in Mathematics and Science Education and STEAM Education within Transformative Education Research.
