Biography

Dr. Arjun Kumar Shrestha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Resource and General Management at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). Prior to joining KUSOM in 2011, he served in the Nepalese Army, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (NA EME) for about 20 years.

Dr. Shrestha holds degrees in Electronics Engineering (BE) from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India, and MBA (Finance), MPhil (General Management), and PhD (General Management) from Kathmandu University, Nepal. He has completed the Faculty Development Program in Management (FDP) from IIM Ahmedabad, India.

Besides teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervising MPhil and PhD scholars, Dr. Shrestha is actively involved in business consulting and has completed consulting assignments for several prestigious organizations like Nepal Administrative Staff College, Nepalese Army Welfare Board, Nepal Police, and Nepal Red Cross.

His research interests include workplace spirituality, organizational politics, leadership, and organizational behaviour. The papers he co-authored have been published in many National and International Journals including Journal of Management Spirituality & Religion, Management and Labour Studies, Business Perspectives and Research, etc. He has presented papers at several national and international conferences.

Currently, he serves as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Business and Management Research (JBMR), a blind peer-reviewed research journal published by KUSOM. He is on the panel of reviewers of international journals. He also works as the Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the School.
