Biography

Ramesh Ghimire is an accomplished academician with a passion for teaching and research. He holds an MPhil in Finance from KUSOM, an MBS in Finance from TU and is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from KUSoED. With more than a decade of teaching experience, he has made significant contributions to academia and administration.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Finance and Account, Ramesh teaches Managerial Finance, Financial Accountancy and Business Research Methods to undergraduate students of school of Management and Engineering Economy to the students of the School of Engineering. He also teaches Entrepreneurship and Project Management to graduate students in the Department of Biotechnology. In addition to teaching, Ramesh also coordinates the Business Research Project and the BBIS Admission Committee. He is also the Program Lead of the Startups and Incubation (KU-IRDP/NTIC) project, where different startup companies are incubated. Moreover, Ramesh is involved in different clubs as an advisor, including Leo Club of Kathmandu University, Society of Business Information System, and Kathmandu University Indoors Club.

Ramesh's research interest lies in the areas of financial literacy and financial inclusion. He has supervised more than a dozen of business research project of undergraduate students of KUSOM. He has facilitated various workshops and training programs related to financials for incubators, MS Excel, financial literacy, and the stock market. Ramesh also serves as the Hostel Warden of Kathmandu University Boys Hostel and is a member of the Swimming Pool Management Committee.

Ramesh's dedication, hard work, and positive thinking have contributed significantly to his success in the academic and administrative roles he holds. He is a passionate teacher and researcher who strive to make a positive impact on the lives of his students and the wider community. Additionally, he is a good athlete who enjoys playing badminton and football.
