Biography

I received my Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Engineering from Kathmandu University in 2023. My master’s thesis, Isolated Nepali Sign Language Recognition Using Graph Convolutional Networks, focused on developing vision-based assistive technologies for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. As part of this work, I collected and curated real-world sign language data in collaboration with Kavre School for the Deaf, reflecting my strong interest in socially impactful and inclusive AI research.

I teach courses related to programming and software engineering and supervise undergraduate semester projects that align with market needs and societal good. I am open to advising and mentoring students and really enjoy translating ideas into impactful solutions. I bring my industry experience as a software engineer and project manager into my teaching, with an emphasis on practical, market-relevant, and ethically responsible computing education.

Outside my academic work, I enjoy outdoor activities such as travelling and hiking.

If you are a student interested in semester projects, research, or collaboration in areas related to AI, software development, or socially impactful computin, feel free to reach out.
