Biography

Er. Subodh Luitel is an Assistant Professor at Department of Environmental Science and Engineering (DESE), Kathmandu University. He has been serving the department since 2018. He has received Excellent Foreign Student (EFS) scholarship and Thammasat University (TU) scholarship for foreign students for pursuing his M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand. He has completed B.Tech. in Environmental Engineering from Kathmandu Univeristy, Nepal.

His research interest are mainly on Circulary bioeconomy focussed on Life Cycle Assessment of bio-resources conversion systems. His publications and engagement includes, but are not limited to Faecal sludge management, E-waste, Decentralized wastewater treatment systems, Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Assessment.

He is also the President of Kathmandu University Professors' Association, School of Science Unit, Kathmandu University from 2020 till 2023.

  • Received publication grant from Thammasat University for the publication of conference paper in ICERT 2017.
  • Awarded as Best Oral Presenter in 5th International conference on Environmental Research and Technology (ICERT 2017), George Town, Penang, Malaysia.
  • Received Excellent Foreign Student (EFS) scholarship and Thammasat University (TU) scholarship for foreign student for pursuing M.Sc.
