Kathmandu University School of Law (KUSoL) officially launched Federalism, Devolution of Power, and Inclusive Democracy: Nepal's Constitutional Context (Volume 1)  in a ceremony attended by academics, civil society members, and key stakeholders involved in Nepal’s federalization process.

Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University, Professor Bhola Thapa, formally launched the book, emphasizing the importance of such academic contributions in shaping national discussions on federalism, particularly in the context of Nepal’s 2015 Constitution. He highlighted the need for ongoing dialogue on the challenges and opportunities of federal governance.

Edited by Professor Bipin Adhikari, the book compiles revised papers and proceedings from the international conference on federalism organized by KUSoL in November 2023, with support from the Australian Embassy and The Asia Foundation.

Dean of KUSoL, Professor Dr. Rishikesh Wagle, expressed gratitude to the contributors, while Registrar Professor Achyut Wagle provided insights into key themes of the book, including fiscal federalism. The book aims to serve as a critical resource for scholars and policymakers navigating Nepal’s evolving federal system.

The publication highlights the need for inclusive democratic practices within Nepal’s federal structure, with a focus on addressing historical inequalities and ensuring equitable representation across all levels.
