Refresher Training Program Organized for Drivers

On 26 November 2022, a Drivers’ Refresher Training program for the drivers working at Kathmandu University was organized by Human Resources Division in collaboration with Security Section, Management Services Division at Hotel View Bhaktapur. 15 drivers along with 6 trainers had participated in the program.

The program commenced with an opening remark by Mr. Gyanendra Thapa, IT Officer, on behalf of the Human Resources Division in which he welcomed all the participants and wished the success of the program.

In the program moderated by Mr. Shiva Pratap Karki, Security Incharge, Security Section under Management Services Division, each trainer held brief training sessions on various aspects of driving and mechanisms of safe driving.

Mr. Lekhnath Panta, retired army personnel presented on work-life balance and touched upon spiritual aspects for the enhancement of the work life. The mechanisms of safe driving techniques were presented by Mr. Hari Pokhrel, army personnel. Meanwhile, Mr. Yagya Bahadur Pal and Mr. Bishnu Prasad Gautam, traffic personnel presented on traffic rules and courses of actions during accidents. Furthermore, Mr. Purna Kumar Shrestha, retired army personnel presented on VIP driving and its precautions. Moreover, Mr. Bidur Phuyal conducted yoga exercises and motivated the drivers on healthy living with suggestions of good food choices and courses of life activities.

The Chief of the Human Resources Division, Ms. Jyoti Pradhan gave a remark appreciating the trainees as well as the trainers for participating the program. The program ended with a learning remark by one of the trainees, Mr. Hari Prasad Dahal, Driver.
