Prof. Dr. Bikash Nakarmi Visits Kathmandu University for Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing Session with Students and Faculties

Prof. Dr. Bikash Nakarmi, a distinguished Professor at the Key Laboratory of Radar Imaging and Microwave Photonics, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) in China, visited Kathmandu University today. He met with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle to discuss collaboration on a drone-based low altitude economy and the establishment of a technical research centre at the University. Along with Prof. Dr. Nakarmi, Prof. Dr. Tri Ratna Bajracharya also graced us with his visit at Kathmandu University today.

Prof. Dr. Sudan Jha, and Asst. Prof. Dr Pankaj Raj Dawadi, Acting Head, DoCSE welcomed Dr. Nakarmi  and Dr. Bajracharya at Kathmandu University. Later, Prof. Nakarmi delivered an engaging talk to undergraduate students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, titled “Photonics and AI: The Future of Intelligent Systems”. He shared insights on optical computing, biosensing, photonic radar, and AI-enabled technologies.

This landmark visit paves the way for potential collaboration in drone innovation, technical research, and student empowerment at Kathmandu University.
