Ms. Prativa Poudel, a scholar of Ph.D. in Environmental Science at the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering has successfully defended her dissertation entitled "Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Onsite Sanitation Systems in Nepal" on May 28, 2025. Ms. Poudel has completed her Ph.D. research under the Supervision of Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma and Co-Supervisions of Asst. Prof. Dr. Anish Ghimire and Dr. Manish Baidya.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean Prof. Dr. Bed Mani Dahal, the Supervisor Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, Head of Department Prof. Dr. Kumud Raj Kafle, External Examiner Prof. Dr. Rejina Maskey Byanju, Dean's Nominee Asst. Prof. Dr. Nani Raut. and VC's Nominee Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahesh Prasad Bhattarai.

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
