Mr. Kumar Khatri, a scholar of Ph.D. in Environmental Science at the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering has successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Aquatic Ecological Status of the Bheri and Babai River Systems prior to Inter-Basin Water Transfer, Western Nepal: Implications on Water Quality" on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Mr. Khatri has completed his Ph.D. research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bibhuti Ranjan Jha and Co-Supervisions of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Smriti Gurung and Prof. Dr. Udhab Raj Khadka.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane, supervisor Prof. Dr. Bibhuti Ranjan Jha, HoD Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kumud Raj Kafle, External Examiner Dr. Ramesh Raj Pant,  Prof. Dr. Subodh Kumar Upadhyaya (Dean’s Nominee), Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj Adhikary (VC’s Nominee).

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
