Mr. George Vernon Byrd, a scholar of Ph.D. in Environment Science at the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering has successfully defended his dissertation entitled "AQUAPONICS IN NEPAL: POTENTIAL TO CONTRIBUTE TO URBAN FOOD SECURITY" on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. Mr. Byrd has completed his Ph.D. research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bibhuti Ranjan Jha and Co-Supervision of Dr. Derek Chignell.

The Ph.D. Defense Seminar (Viva) was evaluated by an Evaluation Committee chaired by the Dean Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane, supervisor Prof. Dr. Bibhuti Ranjan Jha , HoD Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kumud Raj Kafle, External Examiner Prof. Dr. Dilip Kumar Jha, Prof. Dr. Subodh Kumar Upadhyaya (Dean’s Nominee), Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire (VC’s Nominee).

The final approval of the Ph.D. degree will be done after the incorporation of the comments and suggestions provided by the Evaluation Committee.
