Memorandum of Understanding Signed between Kathmandu University, and National Youth Council

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Kathmandu University (KU), and Bhaktapur-based National Youth Council (NYC) on February 26, 2020 at KU Central Office in Dhulikhel. KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, and NYC Executive Vice-Chairperson Mr. Madhab Prasad Dhungel signed on behalf of their respective institutions.

National Youth Council (NYC), which was established as per National Youth Council Act 2072 and which works for the protection and promotion of the interests of the youth, is an autonomous body within the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of Nepal.

The primary purpose of this MOU is to: involve the youth in the generation of knowledge; and use the resources and networks of both parties efficiently and effectively to encourage, promote, and establish innovative and sustainable businesses in Nepal, in order to contribute to Nepal’s sustainable development.

The contact persons for this MOU are: Act. Administrative Chief at NYC Dr. Babu Ram Dhungana; and Professor at KU School of Science, and Director of Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) at KU Dr. Deepak Prasad Subedi.
