KU's participation in the 97th AIU Vice Chancellors' Conference

Kathmandu University's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa participated in the 97th All India Vice Chancellors' Conference in India. The event was organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

During the conference, Prof. Thapa participated in the Plenary session titled "Interaction with the heads of apex bodies/foreign delegates." In the session, Prof. Thapa provided his insights on the importance of international collaborations and partnerships in the field of education and highlighted the successful partnerships between Kathmandu University and various universities in India. Other featured speakers at the interaction session included Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE); Dr. RC Agrawal, DDG, Indian Council of Agricultural Research; Dr. B.S Ponmudiraj, Adviser, National Assessment and Accreditation Council India and Mr. Aditya Malkani, Regional Director, Association of Commonwealth Universities.

The conference is being held at the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, from 23rd to 25th March and is participated by more than 400 Vice Chancellors of different Universities and policymakers from India and abroad. The themes for sessions of the Conference include: Internationalization: Modes of Engagement; Minimum Government: Maximum Governance: What Does It Mean for Universities; Promotion of Indian Languages; Reforms for Holistic Education; Creating an Ecosystem for Research & Excellence and the Future of Education, Learning, and Workplace.
