KU SoE & TU IoE signed Agreement for Transfer of Master’s program in Sanitation

An agreement between Kathmandu University - School of Engineering (KU-SoE) and Tribhuvan University – Institute of Engineering (TU-IoE) was signed on 1 March 2020 at IoE – Purwanchal Campus, Dharan. The purpose of this agreement is to transfer the Sanitation programs (Masters Degree and Graduate Professional Diploma program) to TU IoE under the Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS Project).

The agreement was signed by Prof. Ramchandra Sapkota, Dean of TU-IoE and Dr. Damber Bahadur Nepali, Dean of KU – SoE. Faculties from different Departments of IoE Purwanchal Campus, representatives from Municipalities and team from KU were present in the signing ceremony. Municipal Association of Nepal (MuAN) coordinated to invite the municipal representatives from Province 1.

At Tribhuvan University, the Masters and Short course professional programs will be delivered by Department of Agricultural Engineering at TU – IoE Purwanchal Campus in Dharan.

Kathmandu University in collaboration with IHE Delft – Netherlands, funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is implementing the Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) program in Nepal. KU (as 1st tier partner with IHE Delft) is responsible to transfer the program to two academic institutions (as 2nd tier partners), namely Pokhara University and Tribhuvan University.
