Kathmandu University launches Bachelor of Technology/Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence

The School of Engineering, Kathmandu University organized a press meet on August 9, 20210 regarding the launching of the two new programs, respectively, Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence (BTech in AI) and Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence (MTech in AI) starting September 2021 intake. On the occasion, the Dean of the School of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Manish Pokharel informed the attendees and the journalists that Kathmandu University was offering for the first time these two programs in Nepal keeping into consideration the surge in the demand of AI knowledge and manpower both globally and nationally. Dr. Bal Krishna Bal, Associate Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering remarked that the program would cater the needs of the country in terms of developing AI specialists and also at the same time provide a platform to get Bachelor and Masters Degrees in such specialized areas within the country itself. The event was attended by dignitaries of Kathmandu University including Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments.
