The Department of Agriculture at KU Panchkhal organized an Internship and Final Year Project (FYP) Orientation Program, aiming to facilitate a smooth and structured transition for students as they embark on their internships. The event was attended by 8th-semester students, faculty members from the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Artificial Intelligence, and administrative staffs of KU Panchkhal.

The orientation program commenced with an introduction by the Member Secretary of the Internship Advisory Committee, Mr. Janarjan Adhikari, who officially opened the event. Dr. Arjun Pandit followed with a warm welcome speech, setting an encouraging tone for the session. Emphasizing the importance of the internship program, Mr. Roshan Subedi provided an overview of its goals and objectives, preparing students for the journey ahead.

A detailed insight into internship placements was presented by Mr. Janarjan Adhikari, who highlighted the various institutions where students were placed, alongside an explanation of the allocation process for academic advisors and site supervisors. This segment aimed to give students a clear understanding of the support structure in place to ensure a productive internship experience.

Further clarifying the academic requirements, Dr. Nawal Shrestha briefed the students on the formats for internship and FYP reports, emphasizing the importance of adhering to academic standards. Mr. Ajay Jaishi provided an in-depth explanation of the evaluation system for both internships and FYPs, enabling students to comprehend the assessment criteria and expectations clearly.

The program also featured an interactive session led by the Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Kumar Lama, who addressed students’ queries, alleviating concerns and motivating them to excel in their upcoming projects. His words of encouragement were well-received, fostering a positive outlook among the attendees.

Towards the conclusion of the event, stationeries were distributed to the students, symbolizing the beginning of their academic ventures. Mr. Sandesh Thakuri, representing the Department of Artificial Intelligence, then delivered his remarks, inspiring students to leverage the opportunity for their professional growth.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Janardan Lamichhane, praised the initiative and expressed his satisfaction with the program's comprehensive approach to guiding students. His comments reinforced the value of structured internships in bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application.

In his concluding remarks, Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Kumar Lama, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for their efforts in making the event a success.

The program concluded with a group photo session, capturing the memorable occasion, followed by light refreshments, allowing attendees to network and interact informally.
