On 23 August 2021, an interaction program with the Vice-Chancellor of the Lumbini Buddhist University Prof. Dr. Hridaya Ratna Bajracharya was held at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel.

The Kathmandu University team consisting of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Registrar Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, Deans and Associate Deans, and representatives from different divisions under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and the Office of the Registrar welcomed him.

The possible future collaboration between the two universities were discussed.
