On March 25, 2025, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCSE), School of Engineering, Kathmandu University and Maitri Holding Services entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academia/industry collaboration via internship/traineeship placement opportunities. The MoU solely focuses on Internship/Traineeship Opportunities.

The internship duration will typically be a period of three months where the company can assign tasks that are aligned with the student’s field of study. Final year students of undergraduate programs of DoCSE will get the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and leaders of Maitri. The provision of providing stipends to the interns will be as per the company policy.

Besides the internship placement Maitri may support the department in joint training programs, guest lectures, workshops, and trainings, technical seminars.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed digitally from both the parties. Ursula Singh, Director of Administration, and Asima Wagle, Administration Officer signed the MoU on behalf of Maitri Holding Services. Dr Pankaj Raj Dawadi Acting Head of Department, and Mr. Sanjog Sigdel Lecturer signed the MoU on behalf of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University.
