On March 19, 2025, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCSE), School of Engineering, Kathmandu University and Cedar Gate Services entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academia/industry collaboration via internship/traineeship placement opportunities. The MoU solely focuses on Internship/Traineeship Opportunities.

The internship duration will typically be a period of three months where the company can assign tasks that are aligned with the student’s field of study. Final year students of undergraduate programs of DoCSE will get the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and leaders of Cedar Gate. The provision of providing stipends to the interns will be as per the company policy.

Besides the internship placement Cedar Gate may support the department in joint training programs, guest lectures, workshops, and trainings, technical seminars.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed digitally from both the parties. Ms. Adhiti Khanal, HR Manager and Mr. Pradip Neupane, HR Officer signed the MoU on behalf of Cedar Gate. Dr Pankaj Raj Dawadi, Acting Head of Department, and Mr. Sushil Nepal, Coordinator, Internship signed the MoU on behalf of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University.
