Kathmandu University has established the Dirgha & Kausalya GC Memorial Scholarship as a part of KU POLICY ENDOWMENT FUND. Renowned humanitarian Mr. Krishna K.C. has contributed to the “Dirgha and Kausalya GC Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund” at Kathmandu University. The fund was established in memory of Mr. K.C.’s grandmother, Dirgha Kumari GC, and his mother, Kausalya Kumari GC, who were the guiding lights that provided him with unwavering support to pursue his dreams.
The scholarship is a need-based scheme to deserving candidates with special consideration for those belonging to needy, underprivileged, and rural backgrounds, and families with educational disadvantages. The scholarships will be provided to students pursuing the Master of Public Policy and Management (MPPM) at Kathmandu University School of Management. Preference will be given to deserving candidates from the Tanahu and remote districts of Nepal.
Female MPPM students can apply for policy research grants in various themes, such as climate change, development and humanitarian field, education, human rights with a focus on child rights, public policy and policy influencing activities, etc.
