COVID-19 Pandemic Related Notice

The Department of Environmental Science and Engineering (DESE), School of Science, Kathmandu University would like to thank all students, faculties and staff who have stayed safe and active even in lockdown situation due to COVID-19 pandemic which started since 24 March 2020 in Nepal. Since then our University has been closed and many are working from home. Few groups of undergraduate and graduate students of different years have already started revision of few courses and some have already started new course through online medium. Many other students are planning to start online classes soon. The HoD Office would like to thank once again all students and faculties for their efforts.

The DESE, SoS, KU is also involved in the COVID-19 Bagmati Province Scientists Group formed by a group of scientists from the Central Department of Environmental Science (CDHM), TU, Resources Himalayas, Central Department of Microbiology (CDM), TU, Nepal Agricultural Research Center (NARC), Research Centre for Applied Science and Technology (RECAST), TU, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Agriculture and Forestry University, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), Manamohan Memorial Institute of Health Science, Nepal open University, BP Koirala Cancer Hospital and other scientists from different organizations of the Bagmati Province. The main purpose of this volunteer scientist’s e-platform is to provide scientific expertise and other useful information to local, provincial and federal government bodies which will be helpful to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
