Admission open in Masters Program (Sanitation Technology and Structural Engineering) 2021

The Department of Civil Engineering invites applications from interested candidates who wish to pursue a Master's Degree in Sanitation Technology and Structural Engineering. The application deadline is December 30, 2021

Aspiring eligible candidates are required to duly fill the Online Application Form available at the link given below. In order to complete the application, applicants are required to pay the application fee of NRs. 1,500/- (non-refundable and non-transferable) to Nepal Investment Bank Limited A/C no.: 00501030255547; and submit copies of certificates/transcripts, copies of other documents, and photographs as mentioned in the application form checklist by the deadline to the Department of Civil Engineering.

***Update on Selection Procedure***

ME/MS Sanitation Technology: The admission test will comprise both the written test (70% weightage) and the interview (30% weightage). The written test would comprise objective questions (100 marks) and would weigh 70% of the total marks. Only those securing a minimum of 40 marks in the written test would be selected for the interview. Successful candidates passing both the written test and the interview (i.e. obtaining 50% of total marks) would be selected for admission on the basis of the merit list. All the questions in the written test will be multiple choices and the duration of the test will be 2 hours.

Exam Date: January 12, 2022; 

Time: 12:00 PM 

Venue: Civil Engineering Block, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel

ME Structural Engineering: There will be an entrance test and a merit list will be published accordingly. The merit list will be published on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance examination. From the merit list, a top 10 "Admission List" will be published. If the scores are equal resulting in an indecisive ranking state, there will be an interview for those candidates obtaining the same marks. In the entrance examination, there will be a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. Candidates are required to solve those questions in 2 hours. Pass marks will be 50%. Use of a calculator will be allowed during the entrance examination.
