A one day workshop on Technological shift in Distributed System was conducted in Institute of Engineering, Pashchimanchal Campus, Pokhara on May 09, 2025. Assistant Professor Mr. Sameer Tamrakar discussed current states and needs of technological shifting in the Distributed system, highlighted roles of government, academia and industry collaboration. Mr. Tamrakar also shared the initiation of Kathmandu University in deploying HPC and cloud services. Assistant Professor Mr. Dhiraj Shrestha highlighted the use of Cloud based Learning Management System and practices of Kathmandu University. Assistant Professor Dr. Rajani Chulyadyo delivered different features, usability perspectives regarding the LMS deployed through KU HPC Cloud. Mr. James Bhattrai presented the technological background of implementation of Kathmandu University cloud and HPC services deployed from Kathmandu University Supercomputer Center.

The program was organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University in facilitation with Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Pashchimanchal Campus, and funded by UGC Faculty Research Grant and ICT-INOV.
