Mrs. Reeta Rai, Lecturer at Royal University of Bhutan (Bhutan), successfully defended her PhD dissertation and research entitled "Assessing Environmental Impacts of Vehicle Wash Wastewater: A Case Study of Two Towns of Bhutan " on 20th July 2020. She had done research under supervision of Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, a professor at Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, School of Science (KU).

Mr. Shyam Sundar Sah, Lecturer at People's Multople Campus, Banepa (Kavre), successfully defended his PhD dissertation and research entitled "Mathematical Study of Some Queueing and Reliability Models" on 16th July 2020. He had done research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire, a professor of Mathematics at Department of Mathematics, School of Science (KU).

Mr. Uma Shankar Panday, Mr. Nawaraj Shrestha, Mr. Shashish Maharjan & Dr. Jagannath Aryal, the faculties from Department of Geomatics Engineering (DGE) and Dr. Kundan Lal Shrestha, a faculty from Department of Environmental Science & Engineering (DESE) published a paper entitled “Correlating the Plant Height of Wheat with Above-Ground Biomass and Crop Yield Using Drone Imagery and Crop Surface Model, A Case Study from Nepal” in MDPI Drones Journal. KU School of Science has provided a 3 day basic computer training to its administrative and laboratory staff. The training held during 6th to 8th July 2020 was attended by 12 staff of the school. The objective of the training was to train all support and laboratory staff to make them able to use computers and Microsoft Office Package.
