Statement
The mission of the School is
to produce scientific manpower of high caliber in order to
attain academic excellence and continuously develop research
facilities to benefit both individuals and institutions. It
also aims at providing consulting services to the public at

of Biotechnology
Department
of Biotechnology at Kathmandu University was established
in 2003, first of its kind in Nepal, in response
to acute shortage of graduate biotechnologist
in the national bio industries and allied areas
in the country with a mission to cater and supply
steady stream of highly competent biotechnology
graduates required for the country and to contribute

of Environmental Science and Engineering
The Department
of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (DESE)
currently offers Undergraduate Program, Graduate
and Post Graduate as well as Ph.D program. The
aim of the department is to produce self-motivated,
objective, confident, and creative graduates of
highest quality with an entrepreneurial attitude
and to develop as a center of excellence in Environmental

Natural Sciences is consisted of Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics and Biology. Programs in theses subjects
focus both teaching and research. These subject
are taught in various programs of undergraduate
