Bachelor in Engineering (Chemical Engineering)


Kathmandu University offers Bachelors program in Chemical Science and Engineering. Kathmandu University has a strong faculty team in all areas, including science and engineering. Therefore, using the existing human resources, it has been possible to start the chemical engineering undergraduate program at Kathmandu University. The program is and being reinforced with more labs and faculty members.

Objectives

  • To provide engineering student with strong education in chemical processing and technologies.
  • To develop skilled engineers who can pursue careers in a wide range of industries.
  • To enable the students to use the engineering and computational tools and techniques to analyze and solve the real-world problems.
  • To enable the students to design safe, sustainable and economic engineering systems for large-scale processing and operations in the industries.

Internship

KU has already done MOU with Udayapur Cement Industries Limited. Students will have a great opportunity to do internship and get real-world experience with the chemical engineering jobs in such organizations.

Eligibility

To be eligible for applying, the candidate must have completed Intermediate in Science or Class XII in Science or equivalent with at least 50% in physics, chemistry and mathematics in average.

Applicant’s proficiency in prerequisites ( i.e., physics, chemistry and mathematics ) is tested through a computer based test (CBT).

After written test short listed candidates are called for interview to assess their aptitude then the list of candidates eligible for admission is published in the university web sites.
