Closing ceremony of MOOC project

The closing of a research project called “MOOC for Higher Education in Nepal” (www.ku.edu.np/cse/mooc) was organized in Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel by Digital Learning Research Lab (DLR Lab) (www.ku.edu.np/cse/dlrlab) of Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCSE). Mr. Manoj Shakya, Principal Investigator of this project, presented an overview of a MOOC project. Dr. Bal Chandra Luitel, Associate Dean of School of Education and one of the curriculum experts of MOOC project, presented on “Prospects of MOOC implementation at Kathmandu University”. Mr. Sushil Shrestha, Co-Principal Investigator, distributed certificates of appreciations to Research Assistants and Volunteers of this project. Similarly, the core research team appreciated School of Engineering (SOE), Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCSE), Research Development and Consultancy (RDC) with token of appreciations. Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University handed over token of appreciations to Curriculum Experts (Dr. Bal Chandra Luitel and Dr. Manish Pokharel) and core Research Project teams (Mr. Manoj Shakya and Mr. Sushil Shrestha) of the project. The event ended up with final remarks from the Vice Chancellor.

This research was conducted under the Digital Learning for Development (DL4D) project of the Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development (FIT-ED) of the Philippines, jointly funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada and the Department for International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom.
