School of Science organizing a One Day Symposium on National Science Day 2074

School of Science, Kathmandu University is pleased to announce One Day Symposium on the Occasion of National Science Day 2074 with the topic “Emerging Issues of Science & Technology for Development” on Sept. 13, 2017 from 09:00-16:00 hrs.

Themes for Symposium:

Theme I: Urban Societal Science and Technology: Wastes to energy, Pollution control and monitoring, Shelter and amenities, Local transport systems

Theme II: Industrial Science and Technology, Commercial production and distribution systems

Theme III: Grassroots Science and Technology, Water supply, sanitation and health (WASH)  Remote learning, Technology blending for the rural people

Theme IV: Global Environmental Science and Technology: Biodiversity, Eco-remediation, Climate variability, Transport technology systems, and Genetic Engineering

This event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Nepal; Nepal Academy of Science & Technology, Government of Nepal; School of Science,

Kathmandu University Dhulikhel; School of Management, Kathmandu University, Balkumari; Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur; Pokhara University, Pokhara; and Purbanchal University, Biratnagar. Participation at this event will provide great opportunity for young researchers by providing a platform for networking.

 Interested faculty and students of Kathmandu University are informed to register in advance for participation. Registration fee, that covers stationary, in between tea/coffee and lunch, is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
