Sri Lankan Ambassador and Delegates from Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) Visit KU

Her Excellency Ms. Swarna Perera, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal, and delegates from Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) in Padukka, Sri Lanka, visited Kathmandu University in Dhulikhel, Kavre on July 11, 2019.

During the meeting with KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, Registrar Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, and other officials at the university, discussions were held on the possible areas of collaboration between universities in Sri Lanka, with a special focus on SLTC, and KU.

SLTC expressed its interest in program articulation for credit transfer, staff and student exchange programs, and research collaborations. It was decided that, in the initial phase, teams from the KU Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and the KU Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, headed by Mr. Sameer Tamrakar and Mr. Brajesh Mishra respectively, will develop joint projects with their counterparts at SLTC. At a later phase, possibilities for collaboration in Hospitality Management, among other areas, will also be explored.
