We are very glad to announce that Kathmandu University Alumni Association
(KUAA) has published a directory profiling Pharmacy Graduates on the occasion
of “KUAA Launching Ceremony”
and KU’s first ever organized “Alumni
Reunion Function” at BICC on November 25, 2006.
The Directory was formally launched by Prof.
Bhadraman Tuladhar, Acting Registrar. This kind of
directory could be a good means for maintaining a good network between
Kathmandu University and its graduates as well as the students.
As you all may know that the main objective of publishing the directory
is to generate fund to establish a scholarship fund to help deserving
yet underprivileged students to study Bachelor of Pharmacy at KU. For
which the association approached various sponsors for advertisement, which
is also a part of the directory. It gives us pleasure to note it here
that about 20 sponsors have provided advertisement of their organizations
for the directory. Therefore, the targeted amount to be collected from
sponsors is about One Lakh Sixty Five Thousand. The total cost for publishing
the directory is Rs. 65000; the remaining funds would be deposited as
the scholarship fund, if we are able to meet the target.
Here, we would like to thanks all the pharmacy graduates who have
enthusiastically provided the information of their current profile.
Further, we would like to acknowledge all the advertisers who have placed
their advertisements and helped us financially in bringing out the directory.
This is our first attempt: we also like to give continuity of this kind
of work in future too, if we get the cooperation from all.
We sincerely hope that the directory would be important information
document for the graduates and undergraduate students of KU as well
as the general public.
The interested graduates or students can get a directory from KUAA Office,
Dhulikhel or School of Management or can also contact Mr. Uttam Budhathoki
or Ms. Nilima Shrestha at Department of Pharmacy, KU, Dhulikhel. The cost
of one directory is NRs.150. The collected fund would also go to the scholarship
