Professors from Romania and Turkey visit Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering at Kathmandu University.

Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering hosted two Professors:  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vascilica Ciocana, (Dean of Civil Engineering and Building Services) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ancuta Rotaru from “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Romania, under Erasmus+ mobility program. During their stay in Kathmandu University (during 1 June till 9 June), Dr. Ancuta Rotaru gave an overview of “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi from Civil Engineering perspective. She gave lectures on Natural hazard risk mitigation strategy in Romania from Geotechnical Engineering point of view and also highlighted the difficult foundation soils in Iasi County, Romania. The lectures were attended by undergraduate students and some faculty members of Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering (DCGE).
