The First Year of AEC and Beyond

AEC provides job for faculty and students through involvement in soil and water analysis in the lab and co-ordination with farmers in the field. AEC also provides space and lab facilities to research scholars. It has provided partial scholarships to graduate level Environmental Science students worth of NRs. 180,000 from a NORAD funded project in the year 2004-05. It has also provided research assistantships to financially poor but academically promising undergraduate level students from other disciplines.
Students from other institutions in the country or abroad are also equally benefited from facilities at AEC. Three Environmental Science students from Khowpa College are undergoing training in sampling of benthic fauna and identification with research assistantships under ASSESS-HKH project.  Researchers from other universities in the country have benefited from services at AEC.  Research scholars from University of Manitoba, Canada; and University of Life Sciences, Norway have used the facilities at AEC in the year 2003-2004.

Researchers have 24 hours access to facilities available at AEC.
