This is to inform you all that KUCC Football tournament going to be held this november have been postponded till the start of next semester. The organizer reported KUCC that the upcoming Convocation Program and InterSemester Sports Fest are the reason behind it. KUCC approved the organizers suggestion and postponded the event till the start of new semester.

We would also like to inform all our membersto keep faith on KUCC as this event will surely take place at the start of second semester.

KUCC Vice President Mr. Akash Deep Shakya was speaker of this month's FOSS KA KURA (FKK) organized by FOSS-Nepal Community . He delivered his presentation on Grid Computing and Its prospect in Nepal. The program was organized in Informatics College, Kamal Pokhari where student and professionals from different institutes were present.The attendace was around 30 students.

The presentation visualized the prospect of highly advanced grid computing technology in Nepal. Using examples such as SETI@HOME, Large Hadron Collider, it explained why Nepal should shift its gear towards such technology and how it can achieve the goals. However, it does not explain the organization and architecture of grids to solve complex computational problems. Lastly, it includes his personal experiences of working in my minor project Linux Cluster: Prime Number Calculation.
